Thanks :D

The reds(all dark colors really) usually fade to lighter. If he stays as dark as his birth color would be great!

Thanks!
 We are just so excited and can hardly wait till Annie, Daisy and the wee one comes to live on our farm. Give me some ideas as to what to name him. We have 3 baby dairy goats that we have been bottle feeding - their names are Rowdy, Lily and Bucky (real original). I now see what you all meant by kids can be a challenge. But they are so much fun. My husband is very attached to them, well really all of our animals. He was not raised on a farm and just loves everything about farm life.

This new guy needs a really special name, he has been a real surprise. Jama you are just the best! I don't post much, but I check the sight at least every other day. You all are a great source of information.

Thanks
Patty

Thanks Patty! Bottle kids are impossible not to get attached too! They can be so sweet, and a challenge too. As far as names, I am not too good at that, if you are looking for ideas Dona may be able to help she has come up with some good ones. Are you looking for red names? Off the top of my head, Red rebel, Elmo, Copper, Rusty, Cinnabar, Red Baron, Pumpkin, Sunrise Suprise (Sunny).... umm.. that is about the best I could come up with. :D

I just realized I did not spell surprise right in my earlier post. Boy, I get to typing and forget all about the spelling.

I used to ride horses with a girl as a teenager (long time ago!) that had a red horse named Cinnabar.

[b]Those are all great names -I will let my granddaughter, Amiah choose from your list. She is 5 can comes up with a new name for the goats each time she visits us. I am sure gettting attached to these babies we have. Our babies are eating hay and grass now. I have forgotten how long the nice lady we bought them from said that we needed to have them on the bottle. How long do you all bottle feed your kids?

Children come up with the best names! :D So when are you going to share a picture of your new babies with us? :D Can't just tell us all about them and then not let us see the cute bottle babies too! :P

For me, I keep supplementing bottle kids with a bottle until they are 3 months old. :D
