I finally sat down and thought up names for last spring's doelings. They are 9 months old, and I have been calling them "Penny's doeling" or "Hope's paint girl" etc. It may be a bit silly, I know a lot of people don't mess with names for them all, and I only name the ones I plan on keeping but I find it kind of fun to come up with cute or fitting names for them and what is the harm in having a bit of fun with it. They are all registerable this year so I got to be a bit creative with some of their names. Jamey wasn't much help, the only name he came up with was "Pasture Patty" It is a funny name so I might use it someday...but I think I will save that one for a goat I don't like much. :roflmbo: ( for anyone who doesn't get it, that is what we call cow poop) My doe "Painted Rock" only had a buck this year who didn't get a name, so I didn't get to use Dona's suggestion of "Painted Pebble" but maybe I will next year. Here is the names for the doelings:

Blackberry ( black doe)
Paint Party aka "Party" (paint)
Hope's Melody aka "Melody" (traditional doe out of my doe "Hope")
Angel Lace aka "Lacey" (out of my doe "Snow Angel" who is out of Snow)
Cherry Red aka "Cherry" (red doe out of Snow)
Cookies N Creme aka "Cookie" (black headed doe)
Blacktop Talia aka "Talia" (black headed doe)
Cottontail Belle aka "Belle" (white doe out of "Bunny")

Anyone else name their goats?
