 Where is everyone?? I know I haven't been here for a while, but boy this weather has been a real doozie.
 Hope everyone is keeping warm--Old Man Winter isn't done with us yet. Another storm due in on Mon. and Tues.--don't even want to hear that.
Got all my goats bred-2 to my KIKO buck and 14 more to my red FB Boer Buck. 5 of the does are from a herd that I bought a few weeks ago from Debbie Whittle who got them from a gal at Peabody, Ks. And surprise, surprise--two of them are from the son of my Original Eggsfile buck. Yippee.
One is a LaMancha Nanny that is at my Daughter's due to kid any time and one is a Boer/Dairy Cross that is also due to kid soon. Didn't I say that I didn't want any more winter kids after last year??
Also, the Boer Nanny that I bought at the first sale at the Admire sale Barn in October, as it turns out, is also Prego--and due to kid anytime from the looks of her. She is also in the kidding pen. I haven't had this many goats in a few years, and had forgotten how much work it is to take care of them.
Now all I need is a new barn. Well. Maybe that will happen when it warms up some more as well as getting up more fence. Kind of hard to drive fence posts in this frozen tundra. :?

Just finished building a hay feeder from one of the heavy duty plastic barrels I have here. The next one will need some refining--considering I haven't done this before. This one will go in the pen where the new herd and buck is. Will take some pics as soon as I get a camera that works. My 20 Y.O 35mm went tits up on me a couple weeks ago and still have not figured out what is wrong with my digital camera. Even put a new battery in it and still doesn't work right.

In the mean time, I am in the process of helping another goat producer who had a barn/grainery fire on New Year's Eve, and lost hay and feed, but thankfully--No Goats!! She is coming up on Saturday to pick up a load of hay that I have donated and some barrels for Kid Huts. Arson is suspected as the cause of the fire. I just don't understand how some one could do that. Hope they catch the person and "Roast him/her" good.

Seminole Wind--
