Here is a good laugh, my brown heifer-witch had a lopsided bag today. I realized both kids were nursing on one side and the other was just filling up. Her tits are pretty big. So I got to MILK Miss Charming.........After the rodeo I trimmed her feet.
She has now taken her kids, left the lot and gone back and hidden them in the meadow under the round bale feeders I have tipped over for the kids for a bit of shelter and to play on. I don' t think she has any intention of coming near me again :-)

 Of course it is the most stand-offish ones that happens with. I have one Boer doe if you touch her udder she will squat way down until she is almost laying on your hands. Still that is better than jumping and kicking. (Have one of them too!) We had one doing that, she even had twins on her but she was so good about letting the kids nurse whenever they wanted that they would take turns and both preferred the same side. So I put a piece of tape on their preferred side and it only took a few hours for them to figure it out and start using the other side too. Silly kids!

"Rock" is due anytime, tomorrow is day 150 for her and I am really hoping she waits until tomorrow and doesn't have them tonight when it is supposed to get pretty cold.

Rock had a good sized, single traditional colored buckling this evening. Mom and baby are doing fine.

:its-a-boy: :stork:

 He actually probably won't get a name, being the commercial buckling he is, since he may end up a meat wether. (It is easier for me if I don't name those kids). But I actually wrote down your "Pebbles" (or "Painted Pebbles" if it happens to be paint colored) name suggestion down, if "Rock" ever has a doe in the future I will use that name then, I think it will be a cute & funny name for one of her kids! :D

 That is awesome! Way to go Ruth! Congratulations!

Trips today! The Goat Float finally gave it up and had triplets today. One is solid mahogany like her - a buckling! Will post pics later when I weigh and ear tag. They should be dry by then!

I remember seeing pics posted of Ruth's kids but not of Idgie's. Now that those two have kidded are you going to get any break before any other's are due?

Well, I was pretty sure I posted pics of Ruth's quads, but couldn't find the post. Those are blowing my mind. All 4 of them are running the pasture like they are a month old. She is an A+++ mom!! Taking care of all 4 of them no problem and all are healthy and hardy.
Here is one of Idgie's bucklings, he is actually swirls of tan and cream that don't show up in the picture:
Image

Here is the other buckling - he is getting more chocolate brown than mahogany as he dries and fluffs:
Image

Hard to see in the pics, but all 3 kids got their sire's china blue eyes! Don't have a good pic of the doeling as yet - she aspirated fluid and isn't feeling 100%. Am treating her with Biomycin and Fastrack (didn't get any poly serum in!!! dang it!). She seems much better today, but can anyone advise how many times I should administer the Biomycin?? I gave her about 1/2-3/4 of a cc yesterday. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Don't know if I posted it already or not, but their birth weights were 8 lb. 7 oz, 8lb. 9 oz., and 9 lb. 2 oz. No wonder she was so big!!

Oh - and with all this quad and triplet talk, I almost forgot - one of our Purebred Kiko girls (a FF) had a buckling yesterday a.m.!!
