Hi Kristin!

Welcome! Glad you are here. Sounds like you have a lot to keep you busy. You are going to love owning goats, they have a lot of personality and are just fun. I love bloodhounds, I always root for them to win the hound group in dog shows. :D

Hello Krazy Kristin!
I can vouch for her losing sleep. She emails me at 3:00 in the morning because she is so excited about her goats!
About time you listened to me and joined, Kristin - you know I'm never wrong. (NOT!) But this time I am right. The folks here are not loony-birds. (Okay, one or two are but they make it interesting.) ;-)

yes i sell and ship the delicious, creamy, addictive chocolate caramels. $20 gets you a pound including priority shipping. i usually put in more than a pound cause if you let anyone else see them they will steal from you. i'm gonna list them in the sale part soon. just drop me a line if you are interested.

yes dona, you are the queen of right! you wish!

I've been called the Queen of many things, (won't go there), but never the Queen of right. But I think I like it.... Oddly enough, I have a sign in my kitchen that says, "The Queen Does Not Cook."

Michelle - if the bird fits............

 KF how is you little runt doing? It was cold last night--20 degrees here. Keep hoping my gals kid during the day so I can be on hand. This waiting is about to do me in.
Did you give her some Nutri-Drench and put her in a warm place? Hopefully, she got some colostrum from Mama to help. Would be sad to lose a kid anytime, but especially a doe kid.
Special thoughts for both of you.

I guess she really isn't a runt as far as weight goes. She is much smaller looking than the other two, but "meatier" while the other two are skinny. Yeah - we Nutri-Drenched her but after making sure she was dried well, left her with her mom and sisters. Don't like to "interfere" with nature any more than absolutely necessary.
One of the issues was one side of Pansy's (the dam) udder and one teat was so huge that there is no way they could nurse it. We really had to work on it to get milk flowing and then it was a raging river!! I have frozen some. I have only "milked" 2 Boers in the past, but never saw anything like this. This girl has an udder and teats like our cows and enough milk to drown in.
